What EC Provides

English Canada provides initial site assessment and startup planning assistance, a curriculum suitable for the local market, trained, native English-speaking teachers, teacher support services, management of the educational program, schedules classes, places students at appropriate levels, supervises instructional activities, student placement testing, in-service professional development for teachers, and a license to use the English Canada name and logo in the territory of the franchise.

English Canada manages its programs and academies according to the standards and best practices of the internationally recognized Quality Assurance Scheme of Languages Canada, Canada's premier language organization. The standards cover seven areas: (1) Student Services, (2) Teaching Staff, (3) Curriculum, (4) Marketing and Promotion, (5) Administration, (6) Student Admissions, and (7) Premises and Equipment.

As detailed above, EC can manage the educational operations of the program (the "Quality Control" model) or allow the franchisee to manage them (the "Quality Assurance" model). In both cases, EC conducts an annual assessment to certify that the franchise standards are met.
